Going to China as a trainee

09.01.2017 - Notes

schneider+schumacher have acted as sponsors for two trainees from Rheinland-Pfalz, giving them the opportunity to spend four weeks working in their Chinese office in Tianjin. The two prospective real estate agents took advantage of an exchange programme offered by a vocational training school in Ludwigshafen (BBS), which offered them an insight into life in China and the day-to-day running of an architectural office. The Chinese branch of schneider+schumacher was founded in 2011, and Nan Wang is the current office manager and managing director. She works on competition entries with her team and supervises – in constant dialogue with her colleagues in Germany – on-site construction work at a school in Tianjin and a law courts project in Shenzhen, both designed by schneider+schumacher. The final conclusion by both the trainees and the Chinese employees was that both parties benefitted from this exchange.
